The Social Media

In this generation, the social media is the fastest way of releasing information to the public. Facebook pages and Twitter prove to be successful outlets for many news sources, including The New York Times and CNN. One aspect of this that works well is that many news sources can link the actual articles in their statuses. It allows people to get a little taste of the story and to decide whether they want to continue reading. Since this generation is so technologically dependent, people will be more willing to follow a news source on Twitter, or subscribe to their page on Facebook, in order to get the information that they desire. The news received on social media pages is fast and concise, but, in order to get full, in depth information, a real newspaper or broadcast news are still the most effective ways to gain the full story. Newspaper articles tend to incorporate more sources and facts about their stories, and, broadcast news covers many different types of stories that could not be understood if they were in print or online.
